# Swap Partition?

For those of us on 256MB Pi's, would it be&nbsp;feasible&nbsp;to use a linux swap partition on our SD cards? I understand our cards won't be as fast as RAM but we use it on Android so is it possible here?

&nbsp;

Also, all those Linux nerds out there, feel free to mock my suggestion. I don't know too much about linux.

The OpenELEC build system has swap support - but swap is disabled for RPi since it will be very slow… but I never tried it…  
  
Maybe there are some OpenELEC user reports on swap and RPi…
