Switching from windows to unraid. Is there a way to just backup watched status?

I’m looking at this guide here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/

and it pretty much says “grab the entire appdata folder…you can skip cache if you want”

Does anyone know what directors you need to preserve what? Like, I don’t mind recreating the libraries or metadata, but I would like to preserve watch status and on deck for everyone. I can’t use TrakTV cause there is no easy way to backup 30 users worth of watched status that way.

Did you ever find a good way to do this? I am in the same boat? Been using Plex for 5+ years and want to move it from Windows to UNRAID and just can’t find a good way to save the watched data and on deck.

I got no response and after messing with it on and off for a week I just decided to follow the guide and import all of it.

If you only want YOUR watched status, you could always use the trakt TV plug in.

the biggest issue is that you’re going from windows shares to linux shares

IE, \ hing-pc\movies vs /movies

I think it will be a LOT of work to get things working correctly in this move. I would suggest making a trakt account for the accounts that you want and syncing them with a filter on the user. That will at least let you separate each account into its own trakt info. There’s also a way to have multiple trakt’s in plex…

I haven’t done it myself, but i know people that have.

Best of luck!
