Switching to newer hardware and question about playlists and collections

I am getting new server hardware and was wondering if there is a way to transfer all of metadata, playlists, and collections over to the new server?

There’s probably fuller guides, but I’ve been mucking about moving my metadata folder cos my drive was full, mucked it up a few times and restored from the backup I had made.

the folder you want is \var\lib\plexmediaserver\Library\Application Support

In linux this folder seems to have absolutely everything. Fresh install on your new hardware, make sure it’s not set to clear trash on scan. Stop the server, copy in your backed up Application Support, start it again and tell it where all your media is.
