# Sync without transcoding

Basically a feature request for this thread: [Allow sync without transcoding](https://forums.plex.tv/t/allow-sync-without-transcoding/31916/160)
Please allow us to sync media to our devices without transcoding it. My server transcodes HEVC at ~ speed: x0.2, but my devices are able to play HEVC.
Current situation: copy and paste manually, but paid 130$ for a media server software, … dissapointing

A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
