Does downloaded/synced content reduce server load?

Example:
It’s movie night.
If some of the people in the watch together session have the movie synced or downloaded locally (through Plex), will their playback be from that file instead of the media server?

Just saw that this was answered already; no.

I humbly request that this be considered for future updates.
