# Syncing high quality audio files to iOS

Server Version#: 4.22.3
Player Version#: iOS 6.11
I am trying to sync high CD quality/WAV files to my phone, but it either takes like an hour an album or it won’t sync at all. Is there any way to speed up this process? All of my audio files that are not “high quality” sync fine and fast. Thanks

I noticed there’s a difference from where you trigger the sync.
If I trigger a sync from Plex Web, the system is offering to send “optimized” versions of those songs to my phone. If I trigger the sync from my phone I can select from a wider range of available qualities – incl. “highest/original”.
However… not sure about WAV – I have my content stored either in FLAC or ALAC.

**Edit:** just added a few new tracks… transfer completed in seconds.

I’ve tried triggering the sync from both my phone and the computer and it still takes forever (stuck on pending or “waiting to convert”)

Some more background:
I select to sync, choose the highest quality, and when it starts it says: “0% Converting (0.0x)”. If I wait long enough, sometimes it goes through, but I have been staring at my phone for 10 minutes and no progress has been made.

I just gave up on the sync. It got to 15%. At this rate it would have taken 6+ hours to finish. I can’t be doing that every time I want to sync a CD/WAV

Does that only happen for WAV files or also for lossless or compressed formats?

Just lossless. My 320kps and under files sync fine

I too am experiencing what I think is slow Sync’ing of ‘highest’ audio quality FLAC files on my iPhone. I’m connected via home WiFi to my Synology NAS/Plex server. Sync’ing just 4 average size albums took several minutes. I’d hate to think how long it will take to sync my 280+ FLAC albums.
