Synology NAS update not working - PlexMediaServer-1.19.1.2701-6327e27bf-x86_64

During update process
from running version PlexMediaServer-1.19.2.2673-776106bc6-x86_64.spk
to PlexMediaServer-1.19.2.2702-776106bc6-x86_64
it fails with the message ‘not possible to update to an OLDER version’
which is not the case

This is normal Synology “Package Center” behavior.

  1. Uninstall the package
  2. Install the version you want
  3. After it starts, Give Plex an extra minute to readjust.

thank you for immediate reply.
Dont get me wrong … but this did not happen the last 2 years.
Whenever plex shows an update I downloaded the .spk file and could install it without any troubles (and without uninstalling the actual installed version)
the error mess suggest that the embedded version number is not correct

Related question: is the Plex Pass version of the server only for getting beta feature access, or are there other benefits?

One of the benefits (a small one) of Plex Pass is earlier access to updates / new features.
