# Tagging shared users in Plex Media Server

I have a Plex server that I have shared with several friends and family. In the Dashboard and in Play History, their accounts are shown with their Plex account name/email address. However, this really doesn’t describe them. In some cases I have little idea who is who.
I’d like to request a super simple feature - I want to be able to tag users that I’ve shared with, very similar to how user notes work in platforms like Steam. Basically just a short alias that will be shown either instead of or alongside their email address. That way, when I invite them, I can also tag them to keep track of who is who.

Not quite. That appears to be related to changing their own username. I would like to change how _other_ user’s accounts are displayed in my own server dashboard.

That’s where the OP starts from, though the suggestion thread is very much about how user names show up for others (e.g. your „Uncle Sam“ might be „Dad“ to your cousin or just „Sam“ to some other friend). This makes sense because e.g. me nick-naming myself will not be a Name others might recognize.
