Server Version#: 1.40.2.8395
Player Version#: 4.125.1
\<If providing [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only [debug logging](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/#toc-1) should be enabled\>
All,
I have a well working plex server setup on my Windows laptop. I have a new Synology NAS that I would like port my server over too. However, even though my NAS should be supported, there could be issues so I would like to setup Plex on the NAS to test. However, the NAS version just sees that I have an existing account and locks me out. How should I proceed to get to the desired end state?

You can have multiple servers on the same account.

See [FAQ 26 - Migrate from another OS → DSM 7.](https://forums.plex.tv/t/synology-faq-questions-answers-and-how-tos/490215/33)

This will migrate the server from your Windows system to the NAS. You can run both servers at the same time, switching when you are ready.

You should also enable [Sync Watch State and Ratings](https://support.plex.tv/articles/sync-watch-state-and-ratings/) on your account (and have anyone you share with enable it as well).

If you do not want to migrate any data from the Windows system or just want to test:

On the Synology NAS:

1. Uninstall Plex Media Server. When prompted, choose the Uninstall Only option.
2. Re-install the same version. When prompted, choose the Plex Claim Token option.
3. Enter the claim token. If successful, you will see a “server successfully claimed by…” message.
4. Login to PMS on the NAS using the NAS IP address. For example, if the address is 10.1.2.3, use [http://10.1.2.3:32400/web](http://10.1.2.3:32400/web). You should be able to access server settings and configure as desired.

Once you can reach the NAS locally, you should be able to reach it via [https://app.plex.tv/desktop](https://app.plex.tv/desktop) and the other client apps.
