# theme.mp3

I’ve added theme.mp3 to a show’s main folder, but it won’t play that theme when I’m on the show’s main page (this applies to both NVidea Shield and Samsung TV Plex apps. I have Local Media Assets checked on all agents relating to Shows.

Any ideas?

You need to refresh show after adding theme. I’m not sure if refresh metadata is sufficient or you actually need to rescan library.

You must also make sure that the line ‘Plex Theme Music’ is _below_ the line ‘Local Media Assets’  
under Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB  
and under Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase  
as well.

Then you need to perform ‘Refresh Metadata’ for the whole series  
(and wait well until its completion, which may take quite a few minutes for a bigger series with a lot of seasons/episodes).

Playback of the theme in general must be activated on every client separately.  
Check its functioning in the web app first.  
(Settings - Web - General - ‘Play Theme Music’)  
Only after it works there, try with other clients.
