# There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard

Been getting this since last night, restarting the PMS doesnt help. The dashboard doesnt load for any clients and not even in the server PC itself. Never had this problem before.

Am I the only one?

Optimize your Plex database

If that doesn’t resolve the issue:

1. [activate debug](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201643703 "activate debug") logging ( **not** ‘verbose’!)
2. quit Plex Server
3. wait 1 minute
4. start Plex Server
5. wait 5 minutes
6. [fetch log files](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417 "fetch log files") and [attach them here](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202756326-How-do-I-attach-files-in-the-forums- "attach them here")

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the `Plex Media Server.log` file and seek for messages about database `corrupt` or `malformed`.  
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
