# TheTVDB not working

From some months now, TheTVDB no longer working like it should.
I’ve already opened a [discussion](http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/249311/thetvdb-missing-episodes "discussion") in last December but I have not got a solution.
It looks like this my library:
Missing covers, missing titles, missing descriptions
Solution?

The first place we start is usually at file names and structures within a TV Show Library - that need to be in compliance with Plex Guidelines. That’s usually where we end these discussions because most people find out that’s all they needed to do.

Recently the discussions branch off into the random and missing status of TVDB’s presence on the internet, but that seems to be slowly getting better.
So… let’s start with your naming and structuring (provide some proof - a screenshot of your library structures in Windows Explorer will do) and we’ll take it from there.
In RARE cases more serious problems exist in the database, but we’ll eventually get there if that’s necessary.

The structure with which I named the files is:
Anime/Anime Name/Season XX/Anime Name - sXXeYY - Episode Title.ext

Well… my Italian is rusty (I can speak English with a West Virginia/Italian Accent - like Peter Griffin), but it looks like you have a pretty good name structure. Your listing seems to have missed the mark unless what you’re file name says matches what I’m seeing - and the only one currently in this thread that can answer that would be you:

Also note that when you view TVDB in Italian it may be totally different than what I’m seeing in English. The bottom line is to match what you see at TVDB.
Another possible area to explore would be your TV Show Library Location.
PLEX/ANIME/ \<---- TV Show Library aimed here

would be good

in this way:
PLEX/ _It contains all files_
……ANIME/ _It contains the anime_
…………Anime 1
…………Anime 2
……SERIE TV _It contains the TV series_
…………TV Series 1
…………TV Series 2
……FILM _It contains the movies_
…………Film 1
…………Film 2
“ANIME” has its own library on Plex, “SERIE TV” has a library on Plex etc.
It’s okay?

A Movie Library:
Plex/Film/ \<---- Movie Library aimed here
…Film 1 (YEAR) [extra info].xxx
or
Plex/Film/ \<---- Movie Library aimed here
…Film 1 (YEAR) [extra info]/
…Film 1 (YEAR) [extra info].xxx
(you can nest movies in folders if you want to - not so with TV Shows)
If it’s like that - very good.

OK.
Then the issue is you have to name your files as they are listed at TVDB. No other listings will work unless you are using a special ‘Anime’ Agent that I am unaware of.

The file names are those of TheTVDB, i use FileBot to rename files.

I took a look. I didn’t see a new item added to the library that could be followed through process of matching and grabbing metadata.
I did see server errors in thetvdb.log:
> IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u’\\?\C:\Users\Feliziani\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Caches\com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb\HTTP.system\CacheInfo’
I would try clearing thetvdb cache.
