You need to correct the ip from your pms server (ip\_pms).

thanks a lot for the quick responding. the pms adress is the local ip of my laptop where plexmedia is installed on, isn`t it?

or should it be the public ip of the laptop? how can i find out that pms ip?

sorry for the incredible noobieness...

further "intel":

my laptop`s ip is 192.168.1.102.

(inserted in atv under networksettings, set to manually)

my default gateway is 192.168.1.2

(also the automatical ip on atv which i deleted in favor of the ip of my laptop)

why does my log show an 1.101 over and over again?

also detected a difference between my log and working others:

mine shows

1.
09:30:42 WebServer: WebServer: Serving HTTPS on 192.168.1.102 port 443.
2.
09:30:42 WebServer: \*\*\*
3.
09:30:50 DNSServer: DNS request received!
4.
09:30:50 DNSServer: Source: ('192.168.1.101', 65276)

while others are showing

17:10:12 DNSServer: \*\*\*forward request

17:10:12 DNSServer: -\> DNS response from higher level

17:10:12 DNSServer: DNS request received!

17:10:12 DNSServer: Source: ('10.0.1.3', 50831)

the ip 10.0.1.3 is news to me...where to insert this as what?

my settings seem to be pretty weirded up. got that

"update" i`m afraid... no pms found

Enderler was referring to your settings.cfg as it has this setting;

ip\_pms = 192.168.102

It should be

ip\_pms = 192.168.1.102

it works now after i reinstalled the certificate, thanks for the quick help!

edit:

after i finally entered the plexapp via trailers, it now shows "no response from plex media server" when i click on apple movie trailers.

(renewed link)

especially this in the end looks really bad but simple to solve

1.
12:43:40 WebServer: serving .xml: /video/amt
2.
12:43:40 XMLConverter: PlexConnect Cmd: ChannelsVideo
3.
12:43:40 ATVSettings: getsetting PMS\_from\_Settings
4.
12:43:40 XMLConverter: HTTP response error: 500 Internal Server Error
5.
12:43:40 XMLConverter: No Response from Plex Media Server

update:

and now

14:01:21 WebServer: serving .xml: /library/sections

14:01:21 XMLConverter: PlexConnect Cmd:

14:01:21 ATVSettings: getsetting PMS\_from\_Settings

14:01:22 XMLConverter: Unable to connect to 192.168.1.2:32400

Reason: [Errno 10061] Es konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden, da der Zielcomputer die Verbindung verweigerte

14:01:22 XMLConverter: No Response from Plex Media Server

is showing up

vague translation of the german part:

connection couldn`t be established. the target computer denied the connection

certain dumb question: what is the target computer in my case? the laptop, i guess (wrong)?

do i have to open this tcp 32400 port both in the router and in the software firewall?

no further help needed thx
