Plex is scanning iTunes album artwork folders in `/volume1/Music/iTunes/Album Artwork`.

This is causing Plex to exceed the Linux limit on the number of folders that can be monitored.

Adjust which folders are added to the Plex music library or re-arrange your files so Plex will not scan the iTunes album artwork.

There may be other problems, but this needs to be fixed first.

This is not the cause of your problems. Just a note for the future.

Installing the 1.21.0.3744 beta release is an unnecessary step.

Instead, just manually install the current version of Plex Media Server downloaded from plex.tv.

1.21.0.3744 is an old beta release and not fully compatible with current DSM releases. Unfortunately, Synology will not update it or remove it from their system.

Glad things are working.

BTW, at some point you may exceed the number of folders Plex can monitor. This is common when people begin to add a lot of music or photos to their system.

If this happens, Plex will not recognize new media added to your server.

You will see the “`[Notify] Failed to add watch for...`” error in the `Plex Media Server.log` file.

The error is misleading. Your system is not out of space. The fix is to increase the Linux inotify table size.

See Plex Synology [FAQ 16: Increase the number of folders Plex can monitor](https://forums.plex.tv/t/synology-faq-questions-answers-and-a-few-how-tos/490215/22) for the fix.
