Player Version#:3.77.4 and AppleTV Plex App (latest)
Have server configured to “stream without conversion if possible.”
Attempting to play a 1080p (H.264 encoded) movie results in the player (AppleTV) “starting the movie half way through” but stays in a black screen, nothing happens.
When looking at the server, there are error messages saying the transcoder has crashed and shut down. Attempting to “optimize” directly from the server has the same result. Transcoder crashes.
Able to play directly on the computer player without transcoder issues, but its a little choppy.

Tried looking at the logs that is mentioned in my appdata folder, but there were no files there.
Didn’t see a solution for this when I looked, do apologize if it is a repeat entry in the forums.
EDIT
Huh, the issue appears to be vobsub transcoding to the apple tv was the issue. Swapped to an SRT subtitle file and the error seems to have stopped. Strange.
