Buongiorno,

TV o solo Server Plex?

Help me please!

😊

the server (in your case NAS) is responsible for transcoding.
you should be fine as long as you’re not doing simultaneous streaming on more than 2-3 devices I think.

I’m asking a different question: Does the Plex Server make a transcoding or going on direct play if I saw h264 or other files supported from TV?

If going direct play the NAS power should be non to high, only for supportiPlex Server

on your server admin interface go to Settings - make sure Advanced is on and then click the tab Server \> Transcoder and you can adjust settings there (default is Automatic).
I my plex app from Samsung TV i can also choose default quality but it’s automatic there also and my server gives original file quality over my LAN. I think you should look for the setting in your player and by that you can adjust the power levels your NAS needs.
