is there a way to trigger a push notification externally / with a script / by a 3rd party? it would be nice if other applications in the plex environment like the auto update script could trigger the push mechanism that is now included in the plex server to push an updated notification to the mobile clients. first posted over there: [Trigger push notifications / api?](https://forums.plex.tv/t/trigger-push-notifications-api/705881) but here is probably better. ---

You can setup some webhooks to submit events to a (3rd party) URL [https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002267687-webhooks/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002267687-webhooks/) # Edit: my bad… you want to trigger sending notifications through Plex – not logging some Plex related updates on a different platform. So webhooks are not what you’re looking for ---
