# Tune Speed Improvements On Roadmap?

Wanted to check if there is anything the roadmap to improve the time it takes to tune channels with the DVR/Live TV (not streaming tv but local TV tuner)?
I would love to give Plex my money and have 1 app for everything but tune speeds are unusable compared to similar offerings like Channels. Direct play is working per the playback stats but tuning any channel still takes 2x as long as Channels on the same hardware - and as confirmed before Plex is not offering any additional features over Channels, both can pause a live stream, rewind, etc. so there is no technical/feature difference just a 2x slower response time.

Plex usually doesn’t comment on their roadmap or confirms upcoming features.
You can take a look if there’s a feature suggestion and vote for it or (if not) create your own suggestion:

Although since this has been a problem since launch it doesn’t seem like its going to be a priority for Plex which is a shame as they could instantly take over the DVR market if their solution worked better.
