Turn off TV Shows Theme Music?

Hi, it seems that Plex abhors a silence. If I select a TV show, but have not pressed “play,” Plex helpfully starts playing that show’s theme music. This is not behavior that I appreciate. How can I turn off this “feature”? This occurs with the American TV game show “Jeopardy!” and with “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.” Possibly also other shows.

PMS: Version 1.15.3.876 / Raspberry Pi
Client: Latest version / Roku.

Thank you!

You can enable/disable tv themes in the Plex Client.
On your Roku, the setting should be under Settings > Experience > Theme Music
https://support.plex.tv/articles/204275243-settings-plex-for-roku/

Alternatively you can prevent Plex from fetching the theme songs in the first place in the agent settings of your Plex Media Server.
Settings > [Server] > Agents > Shows
Under TheTVDB and The Movie Database you can uncheck Plex Theme Music.

Tom80H,

Took a bit of poking around on the client to find the “Settings” category, but that did the trick. I also turned off the autoplay of the next show in a series. So happy camper here, many thanks!
