TV series detection no longer works.

I’m following the standard directory tree structure, with `Avatar - The Last Airbender (2005) {tvdb-74852}` as the parent folder name. `Season 01` and `Season 02` child folder names. `Avatar - The Last Airbender - S01E01 - The Boy in the Iceberg.mkv`, etc. grandchild filenames.

Plex TV series detection was working fine over the past week. It seems to be glitching out today for some reason.

The manual `Match...` system reports zero results.

Tried relaunching the snap service. No effect.

Update:

`Refresh Metadata` is spotty. Sometimes it has no effect. Had to reboot the Linux server. Now, Avatar appears to be recognized correctly.

Since this show has been out a long time, it most likely indicates your PMS server was having some difficulty communicating with the Plex metadata servers. Since you don’t mention making any changes to your home network, I’m guessing something glitchy at the ISP level. It’s often some type of DNS issue. Do you rely on your ISP for DNS service? If you do, try using one of the big public ones like Google or Cloudflare

Both the Plex server and the Plex Web client device are using default (ISP) DNS.

Regardless, there is a difference between zero results, and an internal service error failing to perform the query at all. An error reaching the series identification subsystem should produce an error message on the Plex app. Instead of the `Match...` UI showing an empty results list.
