The TV show in question is Only Fools and Horses (Wikipedia | TheTVDB).
I use TheTVDB as my main Programme agent.
All of the episodes for each season appear fine but none of the specials are appearing.
This is an example of my current path format:
Only Fools and Horses\Series 1\Only Fools and Horses - S01E01 - Big Brother
Only Fools and Horses\Series 1\Only Fools and Horses - S01E02 - Go West Young Man
Only Fools and Horses\Series 2\Only Fools and Horses - S02E01 - The Long Legs of the Law
Only Fools and Horses\Series 2\Only Fools and Horses - S02E02 - Ashes to Ashes
Only Fools and Horses\Specials\Only Fools And Horses - Special - A Royal Flush (1986)
Only Fools and Horses\Specials\Only Fools And Horses - Special - Christmas Crackers (1981)
Only Fools and Horses\Specials\Only Fools And Horses - Special - Dates (1988)
Only Fools And Horses - s00e06 - A Royal Flush (1986)
Only Fools And Horses - s00e01 - Christmas Crackers (1981)
Only Fools And Horses - s00e08 - Dates (1988)
I am also having issues with Specials not being recognized in Plex. For example, I have all of the Babylon 5 movies and a couple of the Doctor who special episodes (Christmas special, New Year’s Day special), but none of them are appearing in Plex. Yes, I have made absolutely certain that they are named correctly. They are in a folder named “/Specials” which sit beside the various “/Season ##” folders for their respective series. Also, they are numbered appropriately according to TheTVDB, e.g., “S00E##”. Sonarr is actually handling all of this part for me, which is kinda nice. The permissions on the files themselves are also exactly the same as on the regular season episodes.
So what am I missing? Some sort of global “switch” in the client or server that has turned off “Specials?”
Also, it should be noted that this exact same directory/file naming scheme is one that I have used on an old setup of Plex (which I no longer have access to) and it recognized Specials just fine.
Thank you for your help, @tom80H and @NewPlaza. Turns out that the folder naming structure was a little wonky in my Plex’s Docker container setup. It was mapping /media/tv:/media/tvshows, and I had deleted /media/tvshows because it was an empty folder.
So I just deleted the container and re-created it, mapping /media:/media, as it should have been from the beginning. Now I’ve pointed the TV Shows category to /media/tv and all is well.
