Problems are caused by poorly named media, especially your folder structure.

If you correctly name all your media as per [Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support](https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files) then all of these problems will be go away.

Now it’s really up to you what you do next. You might want to complain and say well it should just detect everything but ultimately that’ll get you nowhere. Renaming will 👍

@Stevoc19 I have completely disabled Plex’s online media sources and dont see any of that. Plex works great if you understand how to structure your library.

Dont:

- Throw all your TV in 1 folder and make plex try to figure out what you are doing.
- Have a folder per episode
- ignore the file naming recommendations

Do:

- Create one Folder per show, in the root of your TV share
- minimize useless junk in file names.
- follow the file naming recommendations
- see [Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support](https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/)

and my canned response:
If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using [Download - tinyMediaManager](https://www.tinymediamanager.org/download/release-v3/) and use below as the new name format.

filename
`${showTitle} - S${seasonNr2}E${episodeNr2} - ${title}`

foldername
`${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${tvShow.ids.tvdb}}`
