# Ugreen NAS Plex library not available

I have been using plex on my UGreen dxp4800+ for several months. For the last few days. I noticed that new recorded TV shows did not appear in the library. Today I decided to look into the problem. I found that none of the shows in the library were available. Several hours later I found the file permissions were all wrong.
What caused the file permissions to change?

Not a Ugreen expert but I’ve been bit by this on a NAS before. The usual culprits are a system update resetting share permissions, or new files landing through a different account (like copying over SMB from a computer logged in as another user), so they end up owned by someone Plex can’t read. Easiest fix is to reapply read permission for whatever user Plex runs as to the whole media share, applied to all subfolders and files, then rescan. If it keeps happening, check whether your DVR recordings folder is being created by a different user than your other media.

I finally got it working. I ended up logging off on my TV which after the permission changes seemed to fix everything but the TV. Logged back on to the TV but it got error existsorthrow error on trying to play. Found out that the plex server on the Ugreen Nas has lan network blank Custom URL blank. I entered the correct addressees and turned the TV off and back on. Now it is working.
