When configuring the DVR in the UK the channel mappings features does not map many popular channels. For example; BBC One HD, or Channel 4. Other solutions, such as a Humax set top box, do this without any trouble. Can someone advise how to resolve? Thanks.
Hi,
It also maps well with HDHomerun.
What device are you using? …it’s a pain, but you can map manually if you need to.
What lineup / guide name is being picked up after you enter the post code ?
I’m choosing the “Freesat South Satellite” guide. Any of the others including BT, Freeview, etc have the same result.
The Sat-IP source is an unsupported TSS400. I’m guessing the problem might relate to the way that the TSS400 presents the channels. The identifiers are not aligning to the guides. I’m not an expert but I would have thought channels would have some form of globally unique identifier rather than being dependent on the Sat-IP or other source.
Plex only supports over the air (OTA) broadcasts. Find out which is the right OTA for you and try that.
See this support article only mentions DVB-T/T2, DVB-C and ATSC tuners in the supported list
https://support.plex.tv/articles/225877427-supported-dvr-tuners-and-antennas/
and this article
https://support.plex.tv/articles/community-supported-tuners/
has the following statement
Satellite : Currently we do not have Satellite support. It’s something we are investigating, but there are some issues we will need to overcome, so likely you will run into issues with Satellite.
With regards to channel numbers, I checked the Freesat South Satellite lineup against the channels listed on the freesat uk tv guide web page and the channel numbers for BBC One HD and Channel 4 do match, being 106 and 104 - but in any case DVB-S / S2 tuners are not supported at the moment.
