I have been enjoying plex again for months. I had to restart my router and now everything is unavailable. How do I fix this problem. I think the problem is I now have a new IP address on my server and it does not match the IP listed on on the TV. How can I get them to synch?
Have you tried to simply start Plex server using the Start menu?

I can start the Plex server but it does not recognize the media server, All my library folders are shown but when I attempt to use one I get this message. "This library is currently empty. I know that the library is not empty but since I obtained a new IP address with the router recycle the two servers are not synced. it does know where my media server is. It looks at the old IP address and nothing is there
Have you tried to access your server using the regular web app?
I can access the media server from a web app or from the entry in the search bar. Tje media server comes up just as it would if recognized the server. All folders and libraries are shown. I can select and play the videos. I just cannot get it to cast or display on my TV.
What brand of TV?
Have you tried to cold-restart your TV? It’s supposed to contact plex.tv and fetch your server’s current address from there.
I’m having trouble connecting my personal media library to my Plex account. I obviously downloaded the Plex Server and it’s live and running, but it won’t let me add my library. It just keeps asking to download the server again even though it’s already downloaded…Please help!
I have a Sony Bravia TV. I have done a cold reboot numerous times. I really don’t know if Sony TV;s does a contact with Plex but doing the reboot did not solve the problem. This is very frustrating. I would anything to solve this problem. Someone suggesting getting a static IP but my provider does not allow all that. I really do not know how to solve this problem. Please keep making suggestions.
I think I have found a possible solution. I closed out Plex on my TV and then reconnected it to include entering a 4 digit code on my laptop to start the web app again. Plex came up again but my libraries are not shown. I went to the media server and readded the libraries. I then went back to the Web server and clicked on my account to ensure everything was available and my libraries appeared. Thank you so much for your kind assistance. This may be an answer to others with the same problem.
