Unable to delete DVR files using Windows Explorer

Server Version#: Version 1.19.2.2737
Player Version#:
Tuner Make/Model: hdhomerun connect

I’m trying to set up PLEX DVR on my WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra. It is recording great but I cannot delete the files it is creating though Windows Explorer. I’m getting the error

You need permission to perform this action
You require permission from Unix User/root to make changes to this file

When I checked the properties of the file it says that root (Unix User\root) has Read/Write permissions and Everyone and Root (Unix Group\root) has Read permissions.

When I looked at the system logs it shows “CIFS: Authentication for user [nobody] has FAILED.” I’m assuming this is PLEX?

I wrote WD Support and they gave me instructions on how to change the permissions using SSH but this method isn’t ideal. I can delete from inside the PLEX interface but I don’t like to leave the “Allow media deletion” setting on as it opens me up to accidental deletion of my other videos.

Is there a way to delete DRV files using Windows Explorer or is there a way to set delete permissions just for the DRV folder and not my other videos.

Thanks,
