# Unable to hear "extra channels" on Linux

Some of my music uses 6+ channels. With MPV, I can hear all the channels correctly with my 2 channel headphones. With Plexamp, I cannot hear those extra channels, resulting in the music sounding super weird.

[Here’s a recording](https://streamable.com/9x51v6) of the issue. Obviously, that doesn’t sound right. Here’s the mediainfo of the file I’m playing:

I’m running Plexamp on Arch Linux with Pulseaudio/ALSA. I have not done any modifications to how they work so I doubt it’s a configuration issue on my end.

Plexamp has currently no support for surround sound.
