# Unable to launch plex on iOS 16 dev preview

My iPhone 13 Pro Max is on the the latest iOS 16 Dev Preview and Running Plex Beta through TestFlight, running Plex version 8.5 (2931)

I’m unable to launch Plex and receive the following error message from iOS

> Developer Mode Required
> 
> “Plex” requires Developer Mode to run.
> 
> Until Developer Mode has been enabled this app will not be available for use.

I figured out the solve here.

YOU, the device owner, have to enable “Developer Mode” on your device.

To do so, got to:  
Settings \> Security & Privacy \> Developer Mode

It seems this was a bug in iOS 16 beta 1 which Apple fixed with beta 2 – at least that’s what [9to5mac.com](http://9to5mac.com) writes on their homepage. According to that, it only effected TestFlight apps.
