# Unable to UPDATE or MODIFY libraries

Did you modify the location of the [Plex data folder](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202915258-Where-is-the-Plex-Media-Server-data-directory-located- "Plex data folder"), away from the default?

If so:
