# Update to Plex Web 2.7.1

With the new Plex Media Servers, Plex Web is packaged with Plex Media Server and updated that way. But since there is no new server, there is no way to update Plex Web to 2.7.1. Or am I wrong? How do I do this? Thanks.

If you’re using the network instance of PMS (ie., [https://app.plex.tv/web/app#](https://app.plex.tv/web/app#)), it should be done automatically. If you’re accessing PMS via your local IP address, I think you’ll have to wait for the next server update.

Ah, thanks. I liked the option of updating Plex Web locally.
