# Updated server application, now remote access doesn't work

Not sure what happened but I never had problems with remote access, and after I did an update on my server all of a sudden I can’t get access to the server as soon as I’m not of the same Wi-Fi as it…

Did you get that version from Synology’s App Center?  
Try installing a recent version from Plex’s download page (using the option to manually install it).

IIRC, versions between 1.42.3 and 1.43.2 had a security issue and are not able to connect by any app remotely.

I did go directly from Plex and manually installed the latest which I believe is the .4 version

Can you confirm you have version 1. **42**.4 or 1. **43**.4?

They have 1.43.4.

@justinkomes we would need to see your [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) to see what is going on.
