# Updating Metadata running for hours

Server Version#:4.80.0  
Player Version#:NA

I see via the dashboard view on the Plex server that it is updating Metadata for my movies, and each one is taking multiple minuts and has been running on the sever for over a day.  
Ideas id this is normal and why happening now?
