# Updating MP3 Tags

For videos, the answer may be the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064).

For music, is the library configured to “Prefer local metadata?” If not, Plex may be finding the tags at MusicBrainz, and ignoring the local tags.
