# Upgrading Plex music libraries

That was not wise. And also not necessary. You could have simply pressed Play.

You can look up if an artist or album is listed at [musicbrainz.org](http://musicbrainz.org). That is the primary database Plex is using to match music now.  
If an artist is missing, you can create an account and add it yourself or fill-in other data. But careful: sometimes they just are listed under a different artist name. So use the search first extensively, before creating duplicates!

All those artists which refuse to convert now, I’m afraid you’ll have to do the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-incorrectly-identifying-tv-episodes/100265/4 "Plex Dance") “light” (omit step 4)
