Server Version#: latest as of 23 May 2020 Player Version#: Latste for webos as of 23 May 2020 How can I properly set up plex app on LG tv to communicate with my Plex server on my laptop. There is no internet at this location. I want to configure my setup to view plex on my LG TV without having to turn on my cellular hotspot. My house is in the country without internet. I installed plex and updated the library using my cellular hotspot. Plex works fine on the computer, but the goal is to use plex on the LG TV downstairs. What i have is a laptop with two external hard drives (TV/movies), an LG OLED Smart TV with plex, and lastly, a TP-Link Tri-Band 12-Stream AX11000 Wi-Fi 6 Router. I followed the guides [https://www.howtogeek.com/303282/how-to-use-plex-media-server-without-internet-access/](https://www.howtogeek.com/303282/how-to-use-plex-media-server-without-internet-access/) the guide never mentions smart TV, but my smart TV is connected to my router via wifi, and NOT through my cellular hotspot. When my router is connected to my router I can view plex DNLA through the TV app media player. But when I start PLEX app on the TV, it says no network connection. When I disconnect the smart TV from the router, and connect it via cellular hotspot, Plex works fine. I am not network savvy, how can I configure my setup to view plex on my smart TV without having to turn on my cellular hotspot? Please let me know if I need to further clarify something. ---

If you have a Mobile/Cell Phone with decent reception and Data plan, you could use a mobile hotspot and Configure your Laptop and TV to the hotspot. I’m gathering you have content on storage devices or internal drive with that Laptop you mentioned. Caveat: Laptop and TV must be connected via the same WiFi and band. I use this method in a ISP outage and or Electrical outage and works a charm. Once connected it just works. LG OLED, iMac and a Samsung Phone. I do have a Generator connected to the house for energy in that situation of no Electricity. ---

You could just turn on DNLA ---

I suggest [Jellyfin](https://jellyfin.org/) with a Roku (their WebOS isn’t available on LG yet) their is a way to use it in developer mode, but it looks a bit convoluted to achieve for something that turns off after a 50 hour time limit. I have Jellyfin just for this reason (should my ISP go down, which happens a lot around my parts and it’s the only ISP that is available so I’m stuck). ---

If the OP had a Roku, he/she could continue to use Plex. The Roku will work without internet. ---
