# Using Webkit & HTML for UI?

performance dude! that’s why a webkit UI for a desktop app is freakin terrible idea, same goes double for air.

The only place that performance really matters is in media playback. For the rest the performance is fine. BTW there are plenty of features in Plex that are currently using Python so the notion is that far fetched.
