Maybe I misread or something. Thought there was a step to enable seeing public IP locations in Tautilli
Just started trying to use Varys and I’m getting “Your server is not reachable.” on the main screen. If something is playing on the server then every ~10 seconds it will flash the poster and content info like its about to start working and then immediately return to the not reachable screen. On the connection check screen I have a green cloud with a lock on the plex.mydomain.com entry. Plex Dash works fine.
I think this could possibly be related to how I have my server set up. I have the remote access option turned off on the server. I instead use a custom access URL under network settings and an nginx reverse proxy with SSL to enable remote access. Is this type of configuration not supported maybe?
Sounds great but will there be an Android version of this at some point?
Just an update. I didn’t have my nginx config set up right. Other apps worked fine with the way I had it before but I made a few changes and now Varys is working too.
Is there no way to re-match a movie title on iOS? Tried both Dashboard and Varys.
Annoying that one has to use the Web interface, to fix a match.
I wanna buy one of tautulli & varys apps but I dont know which is best option
Is there anything on the road map to add image libraries to the overview?
@gudi images/image libraries are not at the roadmap, as they are not reported from Plex as kind of playback. So currently there’s no way to track those.
Ok, I just see the libraries in Plex Dash. I’m not looking for a way to monitor how the images are being streamed, just the ability to update the folders.
at the “history tab” in iOS app i could quickly check if the video was direct play / direct stream or transcoded. Im not able to see this anymore (unless i view the movie detail).
has this feature been removed?
Oh BTW, the server CPU / bandwidth would be nice to have as iOS 14 widget
@phattrance this feature was never there^^ Plex doesn’t provide info about this. The only way to get it in Varys is to connect a Tautulli server so Varys can get the info from there.
Regarding the widget unfortunately the refresh rate of widgets is not guaranteed and also not that high that a widget like that would provide realtime info for that, so you would always see cpu/bandwidth info that is several minutes old. Because of that I decided to not build this widget
You are probably right, i might had a Tautulli connection that made it happen. Ill ceck again.
Regarding the widget. Im using a photo gallery widget on my homescreen that updated the photos once per minute, shouldn’t the CPU and bandwidth widget be able to update once per minute too? Maybe there are different rules for how often a widget can update in iOS.
in the “server” tab in Varys, is it possible in a future update add a feature that we can sort how we want to display the cards? i for example care way more about the bandwidth than the ram usage, and the bandwidth card is at the end of the screen, and this forces me to scroll down each time i want to view it (in my iPhone 11 pro max).
It would be much nicer for me (and prob other people) if we could choose which of the cards to have at top of screen.
@phattrance the photo widget works in a different way. Widgets work timeline based. As the photo widget already know the “data for the future” it can with a single update schedule “unlimited” ui updates, that will just update the view. As Varys doesn’t know about the cpu last in future (that would be a cool feature haha) it hast to do a real update (querying the server) not only update the view with already prefetched data.
I’ll think about a sorting feature, thanks for the suggestion!
Ah ok, that makes sense
Thanks for a quick reply
