I have six video files in a folder called “[Reformation Overview](https://www.visionvideo.com/dvd/500793D/reformation-overview-w-pdfs "Reformation Overview").” Plex does not recognize the files when I drop it in the TV Shows folder. This seems the most likely place to put these six videos. I have checked the [tbdb.com](https://www.thetvdb.com/search?q=reformation+overview&l=en "tbdb.com") but there is no record of it. Likewise, [IMDb.com](http://IMDb.com) has no record of it either. How can I make Plex recognize these videos? ---

If you put them into a tv show library, you must name the files like a regular tv show. There are rules for that. See [https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/) Plex will ignore files which don’t follow those rules. You will need to tell Plex explicitly that this series is **not** to be found at TheTVDB or TheMovieDatabase. Otherwise it may ‘match’ it incorrectly to an existing tv show or will reset your manually added descriptions all the time. You achieve this by selecting ‘Personal Media’ as the ‘Agent’ during the [Fix Match](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201018497-fix-match-match/ "Fix Match") procedure. ![](https://sea1.discourse-cdn.com/plex/uploads/default/original/3X/4/d/4dfd6d3b187ea3b9fe8e5103c4570508281ed3fb.png) You may need to [add the names of the episodes](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201272763-edit-details/ "add the names of the episodes") afterwards manually. If you rip the files into the mp4 format, you can embed these titles into the files (‘embedded meta data’) from where Plex is able to extract them. ---
