Found a comment in the below thread that solved this issue for me.
Try disabling any other network adapters that show as “connected” e.g. Hyper-V, Virtualbox etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it - didn’t work. Here’s what did work: I disabled the Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter in the Network Connections control panel. I think the app needs a bit of tweaking to how it detects internet connectivity .
