You have to be joking? The only reason i bought lifetime was because of watch together. This is absolutely ridiculous, why are you making the app worse? I feel scammed after purchasing the lifetime for this reason alone. ---

That’s not the point? Still the only reason i paid for lifetime was the watch together feature. I wanted to support a business for doing good things. Definitely not doing good things now. ---

I mean I bought the lifetime plex pass too, because I liked plex as a product and company, and the biggest reason why I liked them was the watch together feature. I wanted to support them because of this feature, and now it’s gone. Makes me mad. ---

Yeah it seems like you are intentionally avoiding the issue here. Of course watch together is free, but without it, what would be the point in Plex pass if watch together was heavily used on the server? Plex isn’t the only option for self-hosted streaming software anymore, and this is just an indication that Plex (the company) does not really care about its users, so why would those same users support Plex with pass? ---

Are you intentionally obtuse, paid by PleX, or both? If somehow not, I’ll break it down for you: People like to support companies that do things _they like_ so that they may get _more things they like in the future_. If a company starts removing things people like, why would they want to support them? ---

Some of are using feature from the Plex pass in combination with watch together. For example, I record Live TV, which is a Plex pass feature, and then use the watch together feature to watch that with friends. Just because it’s a free feature doesn’t mean people weren’t using it in conjunction with paid features out of the pass. ---

its just stupid. If they wanted to prove that it was an unused feature then release some numbers. Instead of sending us a marketing material, you could explain the reason why\> it costs too much money/time and you got a deadline. I mean really it does not take a lot of people to fix stuff. Just devote the time and effort in to it and make everyone happy. ---

I doubt it costs them much or anything at all. All their server is doing would be a handshake in the initial invite phase, then the rest is P2P. This decision is beyond idiotic and just a slap to the face of longtime loyal customers. And they wonder why development teams and companies get hate. They do stuff exactly like this. Do they not learn anything from other applications that went this way and went bust? ---

lots of people bought a plex pass because the transcoding feature made a huge difference. Don’t act like you’re tech ignorant let alone that your reply is very insulting. ---

I am in the same exact boat as you. Bought the lifetime pass so that my friends and I could Discord call and all watch on my Plex server, some having fantastic direct streamable internet, some with barely 10mbps with 720p streams. It worked great, other than the occasional desync and rubberbanding that was solved by a pause and play. I was really banking on them fixing that, and possibly adding support for locally downloaded copies because that just makes sense! Maybe there was some worry about illegal distribution there, and maybe that is why the feature isn’t being worked on anymore, who knows. I really hope we can make enough noise here, otherwise I’d love to hop on a refund action because this is certainly a dealbreaker for me. ---

people could use watch together for the plex free/paid stuff/live tv though. So that feature was more then just for the private server users. Also there is a time limit on lifetime pass refund. I was told that since I’ve obught it over then 2 years ago I,m not eligible for refund anymore. ---
