# Watchlist: Mark episodes watched

I like the new universal watchlist feature so far. I would like it more if it would let me Mark episodes as watched even for shows that don’t exist locally.
Example I add show A to the watchlist but I watch it on Apple TV (not personal library). Watchlist should let me tell it what episodes I watched and show me what episode is next (with dates). Basically duplicates JustWatch functionality which I use a lot. Also eliminates the need for plex to link directly in to other services which I understand would be complex.
If the show DOES exist in my personal library then mark episodes watched automatically as I watch them. Looking for Watchlist to be a master list of my shows with an up to date status of each one.
