WD MyPassport Drive not pulling files

I just got a WD My Passport 2TB external drive, I moved my TV shows file over to it, and when I added it to my plex server it will not pull the actual files itself. If I go to view folders I can see it’s scanning the folders, but it won’t pull the actual files into the server. I’m super frustrated and would greatly appreciate any help. I’m running Win 10. I’m really dumb with computers for forgive me for forgetting anything!

Not sure what this means.

Is this for TV or movies or something else? Do you have those types separated into separate folders on your drive?

Plex will not scan tv show episode into a movie folder and will not scan movies into a tv folder. info about how to organize files here https://support.plex.tv/articles/#cat-your-media

I mean when I go to the TV folder I made on plex on my desktop if I switch the view the folders, I can see each name of the show and the subfolder for the season, they’re all named correctly per that thread. It’s just not loading the files inside it onto the server. And they worked perfectly fine before I moved them onto the D:\ I literally just copied the folder over and deleted the other TV folder.

Did you tell the server the new folder location for your TV library?

You need to edit the library and tell it where the files are now.

In this image i have two locations because my TV files are on two different drives.

Yes I changed it to the D:\media/tv shows
Once it scans for media its done in like 2 seconds and finds nothing

Ok can you grab your server logs. https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/#toc-0

I’m extremely confused as to how I fixed it, but I guess I did?
I basically reverted to how it was when it worked, made a second library called tv shows 2 and added the media source as the new file on the media drive and now it’s working… so Idk what I did but I guess it’s working now… I’m really confused haha, but thank you for taking the time to help me!
