# Weird Control Centre Popup

I just got into the “new experience” Testflight and the current Apple TV build is a big improvement compared to when I last saw it 18 months ago (aside from some side menu wonkiness) but there’s one big annoyance for me.

Every time I start playback (or pause and resume) I get a system-level popup from the Control Centre with the name of the episode and telling me to “hold the TV button to open the player”. Is there a way to disable this, it’s incredibly annoying and no other app I’ve tried does this.

I’m on Apple TV 4K 3rd-gen, tvOS 27 beta and using version 2026.16 of the app.

I’ve never seen that behavior with the TF preview. Could be an issue in combination with the tvOS beta.
