Where does the new Plex player for Mac store downloads?

Just installed the new Plex player app on MacOS… where does it download it’s movies and is it possible to chose the location?

Would be very nice if the downloaded file location could be changed… something like leaving the metadata where it is right now but allowing the download itself to be stored on an external hard drive!

FYI, the article does mention using a symlink to change the location. It is done via the Mac/Win CLI, not in the app itself.
