# Why Did You Destroy the Android Mobile App?

It is absolutely terrible. Please do not let that team anywhere near the TV side of things. After nearly 9 months its still just as unusable as it was when released. Plex is dead. It was warned a year ago.

Seems like there is a team with performance measured on changes made rather than ease of use/satisfaction.

They are already changing the TV app to the new experience. Up until now it has hit Roku and is in Beta on Apple TV, but it will roll out to every platform eventually.

Though Plex has already signaled that they don’t care about our feedback, I’m still asking that they do not proceed with releasing this mess anywhere near my Android TV devices. They only reason I’ve stuck around this long is:

1. I am still migrating from Plex to Jellyfin.
2. Part of my migration plan requires Plex to restore a missing feature in the new players.
3. So far, I’ve been able to use the old app on my phones and Android TVs. If those disappear or stop working, well, 1 and 2 aren’t going to matter as much anymore. I’ll be gone.
