Why is not possible to use Plex on LG smartTV when internet connection is down?

This morning, there was an internet issue, 5 hours without internet.
I tried to look a tv show on my LG smartTV like usually to spend time, the server is set manually, I used the ip address on my NAS, this one was available on web player, but the LG version avoid to connect because no internet connection available.

WHY ???

The app used with LG TV’s is a Web app. So it in the cloud so to speak, what you see in LG app store is a Loader only. Therefore no Internet no Plex on Smart Tv’s.
