# Why the tooltip?

Why is a tooltip needed here?  
Just print it directly on the line. You already do this in Plex Dash.

Wait, I spoke to soon. My Plex Dash screenshot above is an older one I had in my files already. This is the current display:

So, Plex **removed** the information from Plex Dash for no reason, and now they are adding it back to the web interface like it’s a new feature.

A thousand upvotes.

If we are looking at the details, _give us all the details_, why hide some of the information behind more clicks?!

(They aren’t even consistent here – the analogous information for audio is “EAC3 Stereo” and that _is_ printed. Why not hide that behind the tooltip too if the tooltip is the right thing to do?)
