# Why this file can't play Direct on Android ?

This mkv file ( media scanner log attached ) can play only when Direct play is switched off. When i switch on Direct play, i see message - server is not powerful to convert video.

Please attach the device (Android) and the PMS logs so we can take a closer look at this. There is not enough information using only the scanner’s log.
Also please attach, using ‘Code’ paragraph formatting, the XML data for the file

Update: I have just received word this is a bug which has been fixed. I’ve been told QA is already testing it and it will be released in PMS 1.2.3 which is about to be released to Plex Pass. I don’t know where they are in the QA cycle but know they’ve been on it over the weekend.

You’re welcome! When you have the opportunity, we would like to see the log files to confirm the upcoming fix will indeed address your problem. We suspect it will but want to be certain.

When you paste the XML into the reply window, Select all XML lines to be formatted. Then, along the top bar is the backwards-P symbol. click it and select “Code”. You will see your reply indent slightly. To verify it is as you wish, click “Preview” before posting.

There are a number of Ninjas and employees looking at this now.
Would you attach your full PMS logs? Either use the function in Settings - Server - Help to get the zip file or do it manually by going to the server’s “Logs” directory?
Can you tell us which version of the player you are using?
