# Wifi Configuration for AppleTV

Step 3 of the instructions say "Enter theIP ofyour PlexConenct Sever as the DNS."&nbsp; Immediately below that text is a screen shot of the IP\_Self address which I was able to obtain on my machine.&nbsp; But the next step "Set the AppleTV's DNS to the PlexConnect IP" shows a screen shote with the PMS IP (192.168.000.069) instead fo the IP\_Self: 10.205.224.34 (in the example).&nbsp;&nbsp; Which address should I put into my Wi-Fi DNS?&nbsp; My 192. or my 10.?

They are a mix but you should use the IP of the machine running PlexConnect.

Ok, thanks for the clarification... but I wonder what's the purpose of running the command and writing down the IP\_Self address (10.205....etc) if we can just use the static IP of our PMS box (that's also where PlexConnect and Python are running in my case) .

They may be running on separate boxes and sound people do not know how to get an IP address other ways.  
  
The GUI beta we are publicly testing has a much easier walk through and auto generates the certs for you - there is a thread if you want to test.
