# Win 10 server wont install

hi after the latest update it killed my remote access  
port forwarding perfect n triple check then another 50x  
ever since update only one user  
windows 10 im admin  
got all the rights full control  
i goto install plex and  
he installer has _insufficient privileges_ to modify the file. C:\ _Program Data_ \Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ _Programs_ \ _Plex_ Media …

please help

I received a similar message today. I was attempting to update server version to 1.19.2.2711. but server would launch afterwords… when to roll back to previous version and got “installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Boost\_Thread.dll.”

Never had an issue before now and trying to research why… check all permissions and it looks fine. Anyone else.

I found a solution for my issue… my Antivirus Bitdefender identified Boost\_Thread.dll as a random Grafter.698748 virus. Researching this I didn’t find any virus definition that matched. I closed Bitdefender and checked the File with both Kaspersky and Avast neither of which flagged it as harmful so I repaired PMS from the 1.19.2.2711 install file and now everything is working.

I ended up removing Bitdefender all together.

i used take ownership stuck it up windows ass worked perfectly
